Autumn Skies...

A couple of nights ago I was watching a lone hummingbird rest at the feeders. Sadly, I wondered why she was so late in stopping through Indiana and why she was by herself.

"Darn it!" I exclaimed, "I am not ready for cold air and and gray skies!"

Feeling a bit sulky I moved inside and was nearly blinded by the sun coming in through my dining room window. Grabbing my cameral I ran outside, clicking picture after picture, wondering if they would help to warm my heart once the ground is covered with that white stuff.

I couldn't resist looking at the sun through
the corn still standing around my home.

I am so amazed by the colors, the textures...the overwhelming
vastness of the evening sky!

This evening, I took another walk outside...much earlier than a few nights ago.  Again, I headed for the corn field.  Notice how the dry brown leaves of the corn actually reflects deeper and brighter colors!

Many Blessings ~ Sandi
