Once again, I come home to all kind of things going on around the farm!
What a HOT day to be on the roof of the new grain bin! But, I remember when we put our own bins up...with help from family. We in turn, helped family put up grain bins. As a child, my dad and uncles worked on these projects together. My brothers and I were responsible for sticking bolts in the holes. As we got older, we were able to use the impact wrench on those bolts. Probably why my hearing is gone today! Farming has changed. I can wish for the older days of smaller farms, but that wouldn't change the reality of huge grain bins, massive equipment, and several employees. It isn't like this everywhere...I know there are still smaller, more family farms. I hope and pray they continue for many years to come!!
ummm, this tank is going to hold a whole lot of something! I'll be anxious to learn more once everyone gets in for the evening.

Things were hoppin when I returned home today! The roof was being built for the new grain bin...
...and the grain wagons were leaving the barn lot which means the CATS are purring across those wheat fields! I love watching harvest...but I didn't have the time to go watch today...maybe tomorrow.
